WHAT ARE ESCAPE ROOMS?
An escape room is an adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objective at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil clues which are hidden within the rooms in order to solve a quest. Rooms are not locked at any time and lights are always on.
We have four themed rooms at our downtown Portsmouth office that allow groups to work as a team to complete a specific set of task to complete a specific goal. These are available to company/corporate events during the week (by appointment) and available to others on the weekends by booking online.

CAN I PAY WHEN We arrive?
Reservations for Monkey Mind Escape Rooms are booked online. Walk-Ins are always welcome but are subject to availability. If you are unsure of how many players will be with you, please book the time/date/room that you want for a minimum of 2 people and then you can arrive with others. Please note that you cannot exceed the capacity of the room, and we do request that you arrive 15 minutes early so that we can adjust your reservation and take payment.
WHAT ARE your hours?
Our hours change by the season and holidays. The most current hours are posted at the footer of each of our pages.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A Monkey Mind Escape Room adventure costs $34 per person. Company/corporate events are quoted based on your specific request. We do offer discounts for First Responders, Active Military, Teachers, current UNH Students and others. See our promotions page for information.
IS THERE SOMETHING MY GROUP AND I SHOULD DO BEFORE OUR BOOKING?
Waivers are available when you arrive. If minors are a part of your group and under 18, their legal guardian must fill out a waiver form for them. You can download our waiver here
HOW can I RESCHEDULE A BOOKING?
To reschedule your reservation, please call (603)498-8997 or send an email to [email protected]. We request that you reschedule your reservation to another date/time rather than cancel. Cancellations made within 24 hours of a reservation will not be refunded, but the customer will be issued a credit to use for a future booking.

What if we arrive late?
Groups MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Games will begin promptly at the designated start time. If you group arrives after the scheduled start time, you will need to reschedule to another date and/or time. To reschedule your reservation, please call (603)498-8997 or send an email to [email protected]. Cancellations made within 24 hours of a reservation will not be refunded, but the customer will be issued a credit to use for a future booking.
ARE ESCAPE ROOMS LOCKED WHILE I'M INSIDE?
No, doors are never locked. If you need to leave, you can exit at any time.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled game time to use bathrooms, complete waivers, adjust reservation and have a brief overview of your adventure.
HOW LONG DOES an escape room take?
The games take 60 minutes but you will need a total 90 Minutes: 15 minutes for check in and pregame briefing, 60 Minutes of game time, 10 minutes for post game review and photos.
CAN I BRING THINGS INTO THE ROOM?
You can bring your personal items into your room.
ARE YOUR ROOMS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
The Cursed Tomb and The Antidote are wheelchair accessible, but please note that there are some things in each of these rooms that are probably too high for someone in a wheelchair to reach. Assistance from an able-bodied individual is necessary for the wheelchair user. The Legend of the Shoals does have an door opening that may not fit a wheelchair. The Stolen Diamond has 1 step in order to enter the room.
Our building does have an elevator, when your party enters from the Vaughan Mall side of the building. Our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY?
The Stolen Diamond Room is designed for 2-6 adventurers. The Cursed Tomb is designed for 2-8 players, The Antidote is designed for 2-6 people. Legend of the Shoals is designed for 2 - 6 people.
We do request that you book for a minimum of 2 people to secure your date/time/room, and you are welcome to bring others with you when you arrive. But, please do not exceed the room capacity and we really do need you there 15 minutes before the reservation time so that we can adjust the reservation and take their payment.

WHAT'S THE AGE LIMIT?
The recommended age is 12 and up depending on their experience with escape rooms. Children under 16 years old must have an adult present in the room with them. Waivers are required for everyone participating. Participants under the age of 18 need to have a waiver signed by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. A blank waiver is available here.

ARE ALL BOOKINGS DONE IN ADVANCE ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Advance booking online is preferred to insure availability as we can sellout. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.
What does private room mean?
Private rooms are reservations made for just your party. In other words, there will not be strangers playing the escape room with you. Some escape room companies will put multiple parties into a room at the same time. At Monkey Mind Escape Rooms, all of our bookings are private.
what if severe weather is predicted?
Monkey Mind Escape Rooms will be happy to reschedule your adventure if severe weather is predicted. We will try to remain open as long as electricity and internet providers are operating, and our staff can arrive/leave safely. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be issued a credit to be used at a later time.
